The Bågenholm – Håbol Family
This is the official website of the Bågenholm-Håbol family association. So far only this first page are in English and all the rest in Swedish.
Maybe you have found your way here after looking for your roots. What the Bagenholm – Håbol association count as family are the descendants from Per Bågenholm (1686-1743), married to Karin Eriksdotter. An elementary overview of the first generations can be found here. This is so far only in Swedish.
Above you can see a picture of our common gathering point Gäserudstugan in Dalsland, Sweden. It is located about 10km from Dals-Ed and is now a homestead and museum. The house is from end of 17th century and strongly associated with the history of the family. It is here that we gather for family reunions every second year, next time will be in August 2014. You can find directions to the house here.
The house is a museum open for the public and has plenty of history and interesting things to look at. It is located in a very beautyful site. Opening hours during the summer are:
Tuesday 1 pm – 5 pm
Thursday 1 pm – 5 pm
Sunday 1 pm – 5 pm
